Please Note :- Places will be allocated, where possible, on an even spread across local authorities with a proportion for independent schools, which are in SSERC membership.  Places will be allocated on the closing date and delegates will be notified of a place as soon after that date as possible.

Course Descriptor - This 1-part Science for Probationers Residential course aims to help teachers to implement current curricular developments through innovative, practical workshops. Curriculum for Excellence aims to bring about transformational change and ensure the best possible education for our children and young people and the Scottish Government recognises the pivotal role of science within CfE.

Building on the success of the Scottish Universities Science School for PGDEs, SSERC through the project, Support for Scottish Science Education through CPD, offers this hands-on practical course for Probationer Teachers of Science in Secondary Schools.

Target Audiences - Probationary Science teachers (Secondary education).

Venue - SSERC and King Malcolm Hotel, Dunfermline.

Fee- This course is being provided free of charge.  Accommodation (1 night) and all meals are included.
