Introduction Much of behaviour consists of observable activities. This unit considers a scientific approach to describing observable behaviour. The development of behaviour is studied through the interaction of genetic and environmental influences. Behavioural interactions are considered in relation to feeding, sexual and social behaviour. Candidates undertaking this unit should have a clear understanding of the topics covered in the units: Genetics and Adaptation (H); Control and Regulation (H); or Behaviour, Populations and the Environment (H). |
